   We   were hoping to be back to film screenings by now but it's not to be. COVID has popped up again, and the increasing risk to us all is serious.  If you are eligible for a vaccination, please get it, wear a mask, sign-in, and keep your distance.  It's your responsibility to protect yourself and everyone around you. Pics and Flicks has decided that in the interests of everyone's health and safety we will defer our film screenings for the rest of 2021.  So, sadly, there will be no film in September, October, November or December 2021. As we usually do not screen a film in January, we will be back in action on 4th February. *  All annual memberships will be deferred and restart in February 2022. * Holders of 10-tix cards will be able to use them as soon as we are back in 2022.   Welcome back to Pics and Flicks for our first film screening since March 2020. Our first film will be The Camino Voyage .       " This is an extraordinarily beautiful film - showcasing the bonds of 5 men as they row a traditional Irish curragh to undertake the Camino pilgrimage by sea from West Kerry to the Cathedral of Saint John in Compostela di Santiago." clare-63 on Imdb.com To keep us all COVID-safe a few things have changed but the most important parts of Pics and Flicks will be just the same: an interesting, informative, entertaining film 8pm screening on first Friday of each month, except January in Gerringong Town Hall shared on a big screen with other film lovers, and provided by welcoming, local volunteers A few things will be different and we hope you understand the importance of these changes.   Pics and Flicks is just about ready to open the doors again!   Screenings will restart on Friday, 7th May 2021. Many have been asking and yes, we are well underway with the plans to recommence monthly screenings. Of course, attending our films  will be a little different now, so that we can all continue to keep safe and healthy. Systems are just about in place and we will soon advise of our new procedures for: contactless ticket sales sign in system hygiene distance There will be no changes to the 'first Friday' date, the 8pm screen time nor the venue at Gerringong Town Hall. In the meantime, take care of yourself and everyone around you.
